The NEUR research group at VUB/UZ Brussel is dedicated to advancing clinical and translational neurosciences by bringing together experts from neurology, neurosurgery, and psychiatry. Our mission is to enhance understanding and treatment of central nervous system disorders through interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and excellence in research.
With extensive expertise in neuropsychology, clinical neurophysiology, neurochemistry, and neuropathology, we focus on cognition, neuromodulation, and neuroprotection in conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, neuro-oncology, and mood disorders. By integrating state-of-the-art methodologies, we aim to identify biomarkers of cognitive decline and develop novel therapeutic strategies.
NEUR aims to foster a collaborative research environment that promotes knowledge exchange, scientific discovery, and clinical impact. Through our platforms, we encourage active participation, open communication, and continuous learning to drive innovation in neuroscience research for the benefit of patients and society.
